Lunchtimes
The informal curriculum in most schools averages at around 20 % of the school day and often this is supervised by colleagues who themselves have received very little support and training.
Lunch and play times can be a very difficult time to supervise and lead due to the lack of structure within these informal periods of the school day. Our lunchtime colleagues need to be able to supervise informal play, lead activities, mediate between conflicted individuals and all the while, reinforcing school rules with larger groups of children - not an easy task even within the classroom.
Sports Premium funding can be used to develop the skills of all staff who work within PE,sport or physical activity in school.
